Dear All,

It’s certainly been a busy one, filled with hard work, exciting opportunities, and so much growth across our school.

We began the year with examinations in Ballet, Modern to which all the children excelled in, this set us up for a busy year! I don’t really know where to start….. we have had trips to Disney Land Paris, Singing examination success, Summer Schools, Workshops and so much more! Over the Christmas holiday I will do a little year in pics to share with you allx

School Updates

Show 2026 – Venue Update

We have received the unfortunate news that The Grange Theatre will be unable to host our 2026 show due to extended works on-site. I am working extremely hard to secure a suitable alternative venue and will share an official plan as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Reminder:Our Monday and Tuesday Dance Schools will be holding their End-of-Term Christmas Showcase at 4:30pm, followed by our Prize-Giving Ceremony — a wonderful way to celebrate all the achievements of 2025!

All students from these two schools are expected to attend, with parents warmly invited to come along, watch, and enjoy the festivities.

See you all there — you’re in for a little treat! ✨

New Payment System Launching in December

In December, we will finally be launching our new JADance payment system. You will have the whole month to sign up and secure your spot, there are lots of classes now with waiting lists so please don’t miss your space. The new system will allow termly fees to be spread making payments more manageable.

Please may I stress that all payments must be made before the beginning of term. Unfortunately, if fees are not settled, I am not allowed to have your child in class, as they would not be covered or insured to participate.

If a student is not fully enrolled, I will have no choice but to ask them to leave the class. This is absolutely the last thing I want to do—truly my worst nightmare—but I must follow our insurance and safeguarding requirements. If something were to happen, neither the student nor the school would be covered.

Thank you so much for your understanding and cooperation.

As with anything new, we ask for a little patience — but rest assured, if any issues arise, they will do my best to resolve quickly. More details will follow shortly.

A Final Note

And to wrap things up we have 2 weeks left to enjoy each other’s company and look forward to the festive season.

I’m thrilled to share some very special personal news… After two years of dedicated study, I’m proud to say that I have officially graduated with my Diploma in Dance Pedagogy (DDP)! In February 2026, I’ll be donning cap and gown to receive my certificate from none other than Shirley Ballas, President of the ISTD — such an honour, and a moment I can’t wait to share. I’ll be sure to send you all some photos!

As ever, I am so incredibly proud of each and every student in the Janis Anderson School of Dancing.

You continue to shine so brightly, and as we step into the festivities of 2025, I wish you all love, joy, and happiness.

Jennie x
