Children's Tap Classes

Dear All,

I am so excited to announce that we are starting Children’s Tap classes at our school!

🎉I’m also delighted to introduce Hannah, who will be joining us as our Tap teacher — can’t wait for you to meet her!

🌟 Hi, I’m Hannah!

I live in Helsby with my husband Steve and our two girls, Jemima (7) and Verity (4). You may already know me as a fellow dance mum—Jemima is in Grade 1 Ballet and Musical Theatre in Frodsham, and Verity is enjoying Primary Ballet and Acro. You may also know me as one of the Adult Tappers :-)

My own dance journey started at the age of 5 at Cardwell Theatre School in Altrincham, where I studied ballet, tap, modern, drama, and singing. After a sensible 21-year career at Barclays, I’ve decided it’s time to spend the next chapter of my life doing what my heart wants—teaching dance. I’m currently studying for my Diploma in Dance Education, specialising in Tap to begin with, and hoping to take on Modern next and hope to be fully qualified in Spring 2026.

Dance and musical theatre have always been a huge passion of mine (my all-time favourite film is The Sound of Music!) and I can’t think of anything more fulfilling than sharing that joy with the students at JAD. I’m beyond excited and grateful for the opportunity and I can’t wait to bring Tap dance to the masses!

We’re excited to share that we’ll be starting new tap lessons very soon:

  • Tuesdays in Ashton Hayes (High School Age)

  • Mondays at Frodsham Community Centre (Primary School Age)

These classes will run over the next few weeks so that students can work towards a fantastic tap piece for our show.

I’m also delighted to welcome Hannah into the JADance family! I know the children will love having her as their teacher. Tap is such a wonderful discipline – full of intricate rhythms, stylised movement, and of course, so much fun.

If you’re interested in these lessons or would like more details, please WhatsApp me on 07734 853336.

Much love,

Jennie & Hannah
