The doors of JADance swing open tomorrow, marking the start of an exciting new year. After a joyful Christmas and New Year break, it’s time to reconnect with all the students and dive into a year filled with dance, exams, and performances. This post shares what to expect as we kick off 2026, important reminders for students and parents, and how we’re preparing for a smooth and fun year ahead.

Looking Back on the Holiday Break
We hope every family had a wonderful Christmas and New Year filled with rest, joy, and special moments. Taking time off is important for both students and teachers to recharge. Now, with refreshed energy, we’re ready to welcome back familiar faces and new students alike.
The holiday break also gave us a chance to update our systems and prepare the studio for a smooth start. We’re excited to see the enthusiasm and dedication return to our classes.
What to Expect This Year at JADance
2026 promises to be a busy and rewarding year. Here are some highlights and goals for the months ahead:
Exams: Our students will have opportunities to take dance exams that showcase their skills and progress. These exams help build confidence and provide clear milestones.
Show Preparation: We’re aiming to put on a fantastic show before the year ends. This event will be a chance for students to perform on stage, celebrate their hard work, and share their passion with family and friends.
Fun and Learning: While exams and shows are important, we never lose sight of the joy of dance. Classes will remain engaging, creative, and supportive to keep students motivated.
Workshops: Some exciting workshops starting in January with a Flamenco tecaher coming to the dance school
Important Reminders for Students and Parents
To ensure a smooth start and ongoing success, please keep these points in mind:
Enrollment and Registration: I am only insured to teach students who are officially enrolled and listed on my register. If your child is not enrolled, please complete the registration process before attending classes.
Payment System: Our payment system is fully operational and ready to accept fees. Timely payments help us maintain quality classes and resources.
How to Prepare for the First Week Back
Starting the year strong means being ready both mentally and physically. Here are some tips for students:
Bring the Right Gear: Make sure dance shoes and attire are clean and ready. Please make sure students have JADance uniform only.
Stay Hydrated and Rested: Good energy comes from proper rest and hydration.
Set Goals: Think about what you want to achieve this year, whether it’s mastering a new move or performing confidently.
Be Open to Feedback: Growth comes from listening and practicing.
Parents can support their children by encouraging these habits and communicating any questions or concerns early.
Building a Supportive Dance Community
JADance is more than just a place to learn dance steps. It’s a community where students build friendships, develop discipline, and express themselves creatively. This year, we want to strengthen that sense of belonging by:
Encouraging teamwork during rehearsals and classes
Celebrating each student’s unique progress
Hosting occasional social events to connect families and students
Together, we create an environment where everyone feels valued and motivated.
Looking Ahead with Optimism
With enrollment confirmed, and a clear plan for exams and shows, we are set for a successful 2026. The energy in the studio will be high new teachers, workshops, and the commitment from students and parents will make all the difference.
I look forward to seeing every student’s face back in class, ready to learn, perform, and enjoy every moment of the dance journey.
Much Love
Jennie & Co
